  • nada Talevska Kutner
    nada Talevska Kutner
Visual Artist: Illustration, Painting; people images created with pressed flowers
Since leaving a job of 42 years as a Project Manager where it was all about discipline and routine, I have found my creativity. I believe it have always been there but there was no time…especially precious hours to spent “frivolously”. Now, this is how I spend most of my time, learning and trying new ways to grow. My love of gardening fostered a notion to not only extend the life of my garden flowers but also to share my creations and inspire others. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind.

  • Dawn Tekler
    Dawn Tekler
    Visual Artist: Painting, Visual Artist
The encaustic series started as an experimental departure from my conventional photography. I was initially drawn to document the scene or subject matter, but did not find the final presentation in traditional photographic form satisfactory. Wanting more out of the work, I started investigating the deconstruction of the photograph adding various collage material and encaustic wax. My more recent work is devoid of the photo and focuses on pushing the limits of the wax while exploring color and texture to covey the story. I am drawn to the idea of encasing the subject, so it can be studied at a later date. This is a theme that is carried over from my voyeuristic approach to my photography. Through the layering of wax, adding color and texture I aim to create an environment which allows the viewer to bring to it, their own story and hopefully enjoyment of that journey and also with anticipation invite the viewer back over and over again to find different elements not noticed in the original viewing. The Industrial series started as a concentrated look of one particular route to work during my morning commute. The goal was to study the sunrise and sky, watch the changing weather patterns, and observe the colors
  • Tentacledoom
    Tentacledoom
Graphic Artist; Visual Artist: Graphic Artist, Illustration, Visual Artist
I have always been compelled by the concept of storytelling, and from a very young age my passive mind flourished in the confines of intangible worlds. To this day, it is the utmost goal of my personal illustrative work to bring these distant lands, characters, and their respective narratives to life. My work explores themes of tragedy and gothic melodrama, with an aesthetic appeal that is highly influenced by dreamy, fairy-tale like atmospheres juxtaposed against grotesque or visceral imagery.

  • Veronica Thornton
    Veronica Thornton
    Poet; Writer
Vee is from Cleveland, Ohio a mother of 2, poet, author, writer, motivational speaker, and community activist. Many refer to her as a free spirit which she views as a compliment because she feels to love and be loved is one of the greatest feelings a person can have and give. Vee currently has two full length works published: Train of Thoughts, 2021 (Available on Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, Apple books) Universal Colloquies Inside of Me,(Only available on Kindle) 2015 some of her work has been included in over 15 anthologies, journals and magazines across the country.   Vee has always been a good listener partially due to her severe childhood skin issues that plagued her until adulthood which helped her see people differently than others because many refuse to look past aesthetics to see the true person.  Looking beyond the surface is her specialty because many make assumptions based on appearance unaware that some things are beyond a person’s control. She quickly learned that some of the ugliest people are packaged very well.  Her empathetic feelings towards others also caused her to look within herself for answers that many had no answers for or did not want to address.  On healing journey she has met others trying to prevent their traumas from carrying on another generation and as a result is one of the co-founders of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called The Creative Healing Foundation.

  • Sarah Treanor
    Sarah Treanor
Visual Artist: Photography, Sculpture, Visual Artist, Writer; Writer; Mixed Media-Encaustic Artist
Sarah Treanor is a fine art photographer and mixed media artist interested in resiliency and personal growth and how the creative process interacts with these themes. The narratives in her work are strongly autobiographical. Her photographs are a reflection of her own personal growth, a re-examination of grief, dysfunction, abuse and finally… growth and transformation. Sarah’s photographic process is very solitary, private and meticulous. This allows her to connect deeply to the emotions she is creating a story around. She often utilizes her drawing and sculpting skills within her work and enjoys the process of mixing a variety of mediums. Her passion is to tell soulful stories from her own world in a way that captivates something within the viewer – touching a piece of their own private world and sparking a sense of wonder around it.
  • Alan Burton Tucker
    Alan Burton Tucker
Visual Artist: Painting, Visual Artist; Drawing, Printmaking (Monotypes, Digital Prints)
The artworks I create stand on a shifting border between a corporeal, physical reality and a fantastical, distorted one. I invite the viewer to experience this as a kinesthetic bridge. Some works are large scale projecting a created world into a real one. Smaller scale pieces are more intimate places to step into and inhabit. The media I use are integral to achieving these visual conceptions. In one series of drawings I use graphite and charcoal in various forms with modelling paste on a flat-black ground. The contrasting shimmery and flat and/or feathery and weighty aspects of the variegated surface imbue the work with an ephemeral quality. In another series of mono prints there is an atmospheric and lyrical presence. My most recent work has been created in digital format. I begin with sourcing a small texture or pattern. Then I copy, flip and invert this in numerous interconnected repetitions to create an entirely new pattern. I manipulate this pattern anamorphically with results referring to human, animal or inanimate forms. There is a dichotomy between the monumental quality of the finished work and the tiny, intricate patterns that it is built upon. The viewer experiences a vacillation between the weighty, imposing large-scale form seen from a distance, and its buoyant and ephemeral presence seen close up. These divergent and contrasting qualities express my enduring interest in creating work that reflects the simultaneous vast and granular nature of the world.
