Jurnee Ta’Zion is a versatile artist based in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. She comes from a family of Black artists, with a mother who dabbles in painting and 3D art, and a father who practices airbrush. Her artistic journey began at the Cleveland School of the Arts, and currently, she refines her craft at Cleveland State University.

Recipient of the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Show Silver Key for her piece “Sun,” and Cleveland State’s Merit Scholar award from 2022 to 2024, Jurnee has established herself through her curated Merit Scholar Exhibitions such as “B O U N D  T O,” “Mind and Matters,” at The Galleries @ CSU, and another exhibition at Worthington Yards. She curated her exhibitions at the Cleveland State Student Show within CSU’s Art Galleries, presented a solo exhibition at Loganberry’s Annex Gallery on Larchmere, and in a group show at CSU’s 1st President’s Show. Notably, she curated and orchestrated an art exhibition and event, “H.A.L.O.,” bringing together local artists and creatives at Create-A-Space in Willowick, Ohio. She is also an intern at the Assembly for the Arts, working with artists and finding opportunities for all art disciplines.
