About four years ago, a friend invited me to one of those paint with wine things. The next week I saw a paint set for sale and made my first purchase of art supplies. About four years ago, a friend invited me to one of those paint with wine things. The next week I saw a paint set for sale and made my first purchase of art supplies. Since then, I haven’t stopped creating. I am in the middle of my life, and didn’t know I had much of any artistic talent, but I do. And I am not saying that because of an inflated ego, but it’s clear that I now cannot live my life without making art. In the studious fashion that only a former elementary school teacher can possess, I am taking classes to improve. I have expanded beyond the lure of color in acrylic paints to sketching in graphite and charcoal. I see the world differently now, then I did four years ago, that is certain. I don’t know where creating art will take me, I can only say I am purely enjoying the process.
