Clarinetist and vocalist Karen Ellicott is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory. She studied clarinet with Louis Gangale of the Cleveland Pops and Cleveland Chamber Symphony and Alan Squire, a former member of the Ohio Chamber Orchestra. She studied clarinet with Louis Gangale of the Cleveland Pops and Cleveland Chamber Symphony and Alan Squire, a former member of the Ohio Chamber Orchestra. Though she studied voice with Joyce Koch, cofounder of the The Koch School (now The Beck Center), most of her singing experience comes from time spent in church choirs. She served as a worship leader and music director in churches throughout Greater Cleveland for several years. Karen and her husband, Christopher Ellicott (guitar), perform as the duo Sunday in the Park. They have been providing musical programs for groups at small venues (libraries, senior centers, etc.) for more than 15 years.
