Arcelia (Celie) Gandarilla is a Cleveland born, Puerto Rican raised visual artist, dancer, community builder and creative. She is interested in creating art connected to her Caribbean culture, using art as a healing tool and co-creating spaces for people to connect with art, have conversations and play!
Arcelia is currently a graduate student at Pratt Institute, obtaining her master of professional studies in Creative Arts Therapy (Art Therapy). Understanding that art and healing have been in relationship for many centuries before us. Arcelia loves learning more about mental health and how art can support mental health in BIPOC communities.
She also enjoys working with students as a teaching artist and especially loves working with toddlers and teens. A true passion of hers is to support people who are often times under resourced or overlooked to have a platform and to share their ideas.
