The UH Ahuja Medical Center 

The UH Ahuja Medical Center art tour will showcase a collection of exceptional works in multiple disciplines. Regional, national, and international artists are all represented. Guests will get an in depth look into the importance of Art in Healthcare and how the collection aligns with the UH Mission: To Heal, To Teach, To Discover.

Tom Huck is the curator of the fine art collection at University Hospitals, Cleveland. With over thirty-five years combined experience in gallery operation, art consultation, and practicing in the curatorial field, he currently oversees a collection which consist of over 3,000 works of fine art.

After graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art, Tom established a ceramic studio creating works that were exhibited in galleries and museums across the US. During this time he also established Avante Gallery in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood. After a fifteen year gallery run, he continued with his art consulting business and studio ceramic work. In 2011, Tom was recruited to take over the reins as the next UH art curator. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in expanding the collection and securing a number of important acquisitions with works from regional, national, and international artists.

Aside from his UH commitments, Tom currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Print Club of Cleveland, is a member of the Public Art Task Force for the city of Shaker Heights, and is a mentor in the College Now Greater Cleveland program.
