Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, engages widespread audiences in its joyous pursuit of artistic excellence, performing 17th and 18th Century music on the period instruments for which it was written, while promoting a fresh and lively approach to historically informed performances. Named for the classical god of music and the sun, Apollo’s Fire was founded in 1992 by the award-winning young harpsichordist and conductor Jeannette Sorrell.
