Director of Development

Beck Center for the Arts seeks an experienced and dynamic individual to join us in the role of Director of Development.

 

As a member of a six-person management team, the Director of Development is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive development program to maximize contributed income in support of the mission of Beck Center for the Arts. Major components of the program include fundraising from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government; donor relations and stewardship; development systems, and communications. Leading a team of volunteers and staff, in partnership with the President & CEO, the Director of Development is responsible for completing the remaining 25% of a $6.7M capital campaign Creating Our Future during 2022.

The ideal candidate would be a highly organized, detail-oriented and energetic person with five-plus years of development leadership experience, a proven track record of fundraising and relationship-building, and preferably some capital campaign experience.  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, high-level interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy. An affinity for arts and education is a must.
