UMA Easter Bazaar

The UMA is holding its annual Easter Bazaar. The focus of the bazaar is the pysanka (писанка), an intricately decorated Ukrainian Easter egg created in the batik, or wax resist, technique. The tradition of pysanka-making is an ancient one – it predates written history and has been passed down from mother to daughter for millennia.

Hundreds of pysanky will be on display and for sale along with the tools needed to create these objects. We also host workshops where in a two hour period you can learn and take home your own creations.
