‘Rap’s’ Rap: The stellar Career of ‘Rap’ Dixon

This presentation offers a biography of Herbert Dixon followed by making the case for Dixon as a Hall of Famer … in the background is the upcoming December 2024 Classic Baseball Era Hall of Fame election and the current flawed process that needs changed – on the quick. It will discuss both Rap Dixon and the process for electing Negro Leaguers to the Hall of Fame.

We are thankful to the Cuyahoga County Arts and Culture Council for funds to support our efforts. We will highlight the best of the presentations in 2024.

The 2024 programs will continue to highlight how these experiences reflect American society and culture in general, to bring awareness to how the past is always with us – to teach us, and to provide inspiration and encouragement to those facing similar challenges today.
