Serving on the jury for the 2018 CIPC for Young Artists, Leonel Morales (Spain/Cuba) studied at the University of Havana with Frank Fernandez, a student of Russian pianist Victor Merzhanov. Mr. Morales has performed with prestigious European orchestras including the Spanish National Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic, and more. Mr. Morales holds numerous professional positions, including Professor of Music at the Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum University Salzburg.
