Afro Modern Dance - Classes

Our Afro Modern sessions are a fusion of techniques (Dunham, Horton, Ballet, Umfundalai) and African dances and rhythms. The class is comprised of a warm-up embodying classically based movement that concentrates on the nuances and flair of cultural technique, energetic progressions that challenge with a poly rhythmic focus, and choreography and combinations that beg dancers to freely express themselves.

We teach with community in mind, making room for all to learn and grow in any of our sessions. This high energy class is a new welcomed challenge laced with invigorating drum rhythms.
