America SCORES Cleveland Virtual Poetry SLAM Watch Party - Instagram Live

This year we had to move our annual Poetry SLAM to a virtual event. Students who took part in our program in the Fall were asked to write an original poem, film themselves performing it, and then share it with us. Fifty-seven students submitted poems. We then shared it with 9 community members who acted as judges.

Each video was scored and the winners were presented with a $50 Walmart gift card. We want to ensure that our students get the time in the spotlight that they deserve. On January 27th, at 5:30 pm we will be holding a special Instagram Live event that will premiere our highlight video. We will feature the winners and honorable mentions.

We are excited to spend time with our community and celebrating our amazing poet-athletes!
