Mokuhanga: Traditional Japanese Woodblock (Canceled)

Mokuhanga is a long practiced woodblock technique that has represented Japanese imagery for centuries. Throughout the weekend you will design, carve, and print a small edition on traditional Eastern paper.

Mokuhanga is a long practiced woodblock technique that has represented Japanese imagery for centuries. It consists of a series of woodblocks that are carved and then printed with water based block ink to create a soft representation of color throughout a print. Throughout the weekend, you will learn how to design, carve, and print a small edition of mokuhanga prints on traditional Eastern paper.
