The Men of Independence Chorus is a men’s a cappella chorus comprised of approximately 60 male singers that is dedicated to high quality quartet and chorus singing of a cappella music primarily in the barbershop style.  As a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), The Men of Independence has qualified for eight consecutive BHS international competitions and the chorus has consistently finished in the top 20 choruses in the world at these competitions.  The Men of Independence is under the direction of Mr. Gary Lewis who is the vocal music director at a high school in Cuyahoga County.  Mr. Lewis is also an accomplished barbershop quartet singer who is a three-time BHS international quartet champion.
