One South Euclid is a nonprofit community development corporation founded in 2009. Our mission is to promote sustainable economic, social, and cultural connections to ensure a thriving community. We work with residents and businesses to ensure vibrant neighborhoods and commercial districts. Our work is driven by a volunteer Board of Directors that reflects the diversity of our city, and of our strategic partner, the City of South Euclid.

WHAT WE DO

Build Grow Thrive Program

This program returns dilapidated properties back to productive use and has become a model for housing stabilization in a first-ring suburb.

Neighborhood Grant Program

We offer grants to residents and businesses to help improve residential and commercial properties and increase community engagement. Grants are available each year for:

  • Storefront renovations in partnership with the City of South Euclid
  • Exterior home repairs for larger projects that transforms homes and act as a catalyst for neighborhood improvement
  • Senior landscaping services that help our older residents age in place
  • Mini grants that bring people together and beautify our community

Events

We host and promote community events to build pride, strengthen community bonds, and attract new visitors by showing off what makes South Euclid a diverse and thriving community.

Downtown Revitalization

A strategic priority of One South Euclid (OSE) is enhancing the Downtown Mayfield-Green District by partnering with the City of South Euclid, its businesses, and residents to revitalize and promote our Downtown area. In 2021, the City of South Euclid created a Landmarks Commission that designates, protects and preserves the historical, architectural and/or cultural significance of homes, commercial buildings and works of public art in our community. In the Mayfield-Green district, the designation protects historical buildings that provide a sense of place while encouraging property owners to take advantage of economic development tools available only to historic structures. We promote public art because it enlivens community spaces, provides accessibility to everyone, enriches the physical environment, and expresses our value and culture as a city.
