Gallery interns at Kaiser Gallery will be exposed to all aspects of working in a contemporary art gallery and will work alongside gallery staff. Gallery interns will assist with daily operations and reception openings. Learn about curating, art handling, and proper presentation of gallery exhibits. Interns will also have the opportunity to specialize their experience in the following areas; Gallery Assistant, Arts Administration, Marketing, and Events Management.
Kaiser Gallery is a contemporary gallery and lounge located in downtown Tremont. In this format, we combine our dedication to the visual arts with libations to create a unique atmosphere that can readily bring art to new audiences, while still serving our artists in their artistic endeavors. As an artist-run space, we strive to be a venue for innovative and creative thought by working with contemporary artists to exhibit challenging and pertinent projects that support their professional growth.
Gallery Interns at Kaiser Gallery receive specialized instruction and hands-on experience with gallery practices. The internship is unpaid, however, we will work with universities so students may earn college credit. Each department has its own set of guidelines so please ask your department heads about their internal procedures, otherwise, interns are required to commit to a minimum of 6 hours for a total of 120 hours to complete the program. At the completion of the internship, interns will receive a letter of recommendation.
