On Saturday, May 12, enjoy live music, festival food, engaging entertainment, and family activities from noon until 8 p.m. on Lorain Avenue, from Rocky River Drive to West 165th Street as the street will be closed to traffic.
In Ireland “hooley” is a word for a lively gathering. In Cleveland, The Hooley™ is West Park’s annual day-long block party. On Saturday, May 12 from 12 – 8 p.m., The Hooley on Kamm’s Corners™ (Lorain Avenue from West 165th to Rocky River Drive) signals the start of Cleveland’s robust summer season with live music, tasty food, engaging entertainment, unique art, and plenty of family fun. It is THE place to be on a day that is a treat for the senses! Restaurants open their patios, kids roam freely to play games or create art, booths line up along the curbs, and joy fills the air as the street takes on a festive atmosphere.
Produced by Kamm’s Corners Development Corporation with presenting sponsor Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, the festival started as a celebration of the new streetscape installed 11 years ago. It remains a highlight of the year in West Park, a neighborhood that once was predominantly Irish and still celebrates its Irish roots.
