Choral Arts Cleveland performs the beloved Fauré Requiem and accompanying contemporary works, with concert organ and professional soloists and other instrumentalists.
Last performed by the group in 2008, Choral Arts Cleveland will perform the Fauré Requiem on June 9, 2024, during the 100th anniversary year of the composer’s death. The concert will also premiere several works by young, local composer Mickey McGroarty titled “Songs from the Departed.” The repertoire is designed to pay tribute to the lives and music lost during the Covid-19 pandemic, and to raise a hopeful and joyful voice looking to the future.
