[Cleveland, OH] – Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project (CUSP) announces its 2024 Re:Sound Music Festival featuring performances by contemporary musicians and interdisciplinary performers from northeast Ohio and throughout the country.

Re:Sound is CUSP’s annual “new” and experimental music festival that brings together and showcases pioneers in the arts with diverse programming at venues throughout Cleveland. By connecting local and visiting performers, Re:Sound propels innovation and elevates contemporary artistry in Northeast Ohio.

May 2024 brings the sixth Re:Sound festival, which will run from May 17 – 19th. The program consists of evening concerts at Convivium 33 Gallery and sound installations presented during the day at Pivot Center for Art, Dance and Expression. Featured visiting artists include Elliott Sharp (who will perform and lead a workshop featuring unconventional approaches to music composition), Lea Bertucci & Henry Fraser, and Charlotte Munn-Wood, and local artists including Theresa May & Sarah Overton and Otal, all of whom will perform at Convivium 33, among others. Installations by Andrew Dyet, Ella Medicus and others will be highlighted at the Pivot Center.

Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project (CUSP) is dedicated to strengthening artistic engagement in northeast Ohio by championing the creation and performance of new music. We give a voice to adventurous creators and performing artists of diverse backgrounds by offering a unique platform for their work. Our group presents innovative events in surprising settings, offers engaging programming, organizes outreach activities, and provides ways for audiences to interact with musicians. In such pursuits, CUSP aims to ignite curiosity about new music. Our organization also facilitates collaboration among artists from around the world to catalyze new projects and performances. CUSP believes that establishing deeper connections among musicians, and between musicians and audiences, will enhance and embolden the arts community in Cleveland and throughout Northeast Ohio.
