The ARTOGRAPHY Community Photography Project is a platform for hands-on learning opportunities, art education and community outreach to residents in Cleveland neighborhoods.
Together with generous support from the Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, NEA, Gund Foundation and community partnerships with Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Cleveland Public Library, LYLESART is extremely excited to present the Cuyahoga County Community through the eyes of its residents.
The ARTOGRAPHY Project is designed to address and recognized the diverse health of the Cuyahoga County community by stimulating its ability to preserve and invent its culture. Choosing specific locations for reasons of presence, the project also becomes a diary of people places and things explored.
The project starts off in the classroom and branches off into our neighborhoods. Our direct community that we will serve through this project is the region of Cleveland and its various neighborhoods. Disposable cameras will be installed in accessible public places, and curious passers can take photographs of themselves. All images will be developed and edited. Final images for reproduction will be exhibited virtually and In-Person.
