The Sustainability Committee of the City of Shaker Heights will be sponsoring a planting event at our Grow not Mow site on the corner of South Park Blvd. and Courtland Blvd., opposite the Hathaway Brown ball field. This parkland is located in the floodplain of the Doan Brook and we are creating a woodland habitat with native plantings that will provide future food for pollinators and wildlife. Our plantings will absorb stormwater runoff and prevent soil erosion.

Bring gloves for planting trees and dress for the weather. Team leaders will show volunteers how to plant our native species of trees and shrubs. All ages welcome!
