Join us for our annual salute to Jackie Robinson on the eve of Jackie Robinson Day and the 71st anniversary of his Major League Baseball debut. In 1965, Robinson broke another barrier when he became the first African-American to broadcast Major League Baseball games nationally. Robinson also had his own radio show on WRCA-AM in New York in 1960. Morris Eckhouse and Joe Gazzo will reflect on Robinson’s broadcasting and other recordings of Robinson that capture his eloquence and spirit. A THIS is League Park program, free and open to all thanks in part to the support of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
