2024 SHS Annual Meeting

Presented by Shaker Historical Society at Shaker Historical Society

The Shaker Historical Society’s 2024 Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday, February 18 at the Shaker Heights Public Library’s Boulevard Room. All are welcome to attend, and light refreshments will be provided. An annual report from board and staff members will be followed by “A Dynamic Community: The History and Future of the Lee Road Corridor,” a presentation from Brianna Treleven, Executive Director at Shaker Historical Society, and Kara Hamley O’Donnell, Principal Planner for the City of Shaker Heights.

Founded in 1947, the Shaker Historical Society collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Shaker Heights to inspire curiosity and foster engagement between diverse communities and the people, events, and stories that shape local history. A recording of the Annual Meeting will be available after the meeting. Registration for this free event is encouraged but not required.

About the Speakers: Brianna Treleven was born and raised in the Greater Cleveland area and grew up visiting all the museums and parks Northeast Ohio has to offer. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University. Before joining the Shaker Historical Society team in 2020, she worked in numerous museums and special collections in Northeast Ohio and Pittsburgh.
