Many cultures and religions consider butterflies to be symbolic of transformation, change or the soul. In this workshop, participants will learn how to make an Origami paper butterfly and decorate it to represent the spirit of their loved one.
Healing Arts Workshops provide grieving people with a creative outlet for their grief and are open to the community. No art experience is necessary.
A crawling caterpillar envelops itself in the darkness of a cocoon and emerges as a beautiful butterfly with the ability to fly. In this single session workshop, participants will use the creative process to express their feelings in a safe, supportive environment. At the end of the session, they will take their butterflies home.

The event is free and open to the public; a suggested donation of $5 is welcome to help offset expenses.
