Let the vibrant colors and fresh fragrances of spring blooms awaken you from your winter slumber. The Botanical Garden celebrates the season with thousands of tulip, hyacinth and narcissus bulbs planted throughout our outdoor gardens, providing a blanket of brilliant hues to overturn your winter blues. Designed flower boxes and potted arrangements will create a wonderful oasis on the Geis Terrace where you can relax on our new patio furniture and even enjoy the warmth of a fire pit on Wednesday nights when the Botanical Garden is open until 9pm.

Brilliant foliage and flowers will also adorn the Botanical Garden’s hallways and Ellipse, bringing the sights and scents of the season indoors. Imaginative floral designs conjuring the rebirth of this exciting time of year by Scott Robertson, owner and creative designer of Stems Fleur and co-designer of our Orchid Mania show, will be on display in the entranceway and hallways of the Botanical Garden.

Spring Blooms will offer seasonal programming and activities throughout the show, including the following:

• Play among flower gardens, a whimsical treehouse and pond in the HERSHEY CHILDREN’S GARDEN, which opens for the season on March 31
• LITTLE BLOOMS: Hands-on children’s activities in Japanese Overlook Hallway
• STORYTIME IN THE TREEHOUSE:Every Tuesday, 11 – 11:30am
• SPRING BLOOMS STROLLER TOURS: Thursdays, April 5 – May 31, 11 – 11:45am
• CHILDREN’S GARDEN WEEKEND ACTIVITIES: Saturdays & Sundays, April 1 – May 27, 1 – 2pm
• ELEANOR ARMSTRONG SMITH GLASSHOUSE offers a thrilling year-round escape to the fantastic spiny desert of Madagascar and the butterfly-filled rainforest of Costa Rica.
• MEET & GREET THE ANIMALS – Madagascar biome: Tuesday through Saturday, 11am and 2:30pm; Sunday, 2:30pm
• BUTTERFLY RELEASE – Costa Rica biome: Tuesday through Sunday, 2pm
