In a world often filled with seriousness, The Silly Show boldly celebrates artists who use their creativity to make us laugh, question and enjoy the lighter side of life through their art. CIA Illustration students are encouraged to have fun in their creative process and experiment with humor to engage their audience. The art featured in this show is unapologetically silly, showcasing humor as a form of expression and catharsis, while also challenging norms, providing joy and expanding the boundaries of artistic expression.

However, it’s not just an art show; it’s an open invitation to immerse yourself in the absurdity, satire and witty commentary that art can offer. Students are not only urged to create art that brings them joy during its creation but also to reveal a different, unconventional side of art. This exhibition is a lively tribute to artists unafraid to wield their creativity to make us smile, provoke thought and let us appreciate the brighter, more playful aspects of life through their art.
