Dalcroze Education is a powerful and exciting way of knowing music through the body. Rhythm, structure, expression and more are explored through social and interactive methods that invite students to let their creativity and musicality flourish!
Founded on the artistic and pedagogical concepts of the Swiss pianist and educator Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, the Dalcroze approach is a joyful, process-oriented and discovery-based environment for deep learning of musical concepts with the body as the instrument. Engaging activities and rhythmic movement create a playful atmosphere that promotes coordination, balance, spatial awareness, active listening and vocal precision, as well as independent and cooperative learning. Eurhythmics also offers a wonderful preparation for students to begin instrumental study.
