Appropriate for those who have successfully completed level I and have experience teaching MLY at the discrimination level. Participants will learn advanced skills in diverse tonalities and meters, teaching a song repertoire, movement, improvisation
All programs are offered for-credit for both graduate and undergraduate students. International students may register as a not-for-credit student and must call the Community Music School office at (440) 826-8065 to pay for their course between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday – Friday. International students are responsible for attaining their own visas.
Application Requirements: Acceptance to level 2 requires demonstrated success in a level 1 (General Music) course and using those skills in your teaching. Review and follow application requirementsfrom GIML.
Submit Materials: Because we are registering you directly, please follow the GIML requirements, but submit your materials directly to Dr. Marshall. Please share your materials (statement and video) with Dr. Marshall via google: hdmbwcon@gmail.com or via dropbox: hmarshal@bw.edu. We will assess applicants as materials are submitted, but certainly all materials will be assessed and applicants notified by May 15. If you have a different deadline or need to substitute other learners for “children” contact Dr. Marshall at hmarshal@bw.edu.
