This exciting multi-disciplinary concert event inspired by the parlor games and thought exercises of the Surrealists includes new classical music, “memory pieces,” artwork, and poetry – and admission is FREE.
In a carefully curated concert that is dreamlike, mysterious, and provocative, No Exit ensemble takes the stage to celebrate the Surrealist movement and recontextualize it for modern times. The event program will include brand new world premiere works by James Praznik, Adam Roberts, and Timothy Beyer, and musical guest andPlay. Three anonymous composers will also perform memory pieces for solo piano based on Chopin’s Minute Waltz, and Cleveland area poets Ray McNiece and Raja Belle Freeman will recite original poetry.
