Northeast Ohio is home to a wealth of small arts organizations which mightily support their communities and advance our region’s creative culture. This July, join us as we celebrate their vision, impact, and passionate leadership with an event as BIG as their missions.

As part of the community-wide BIG @SS @RT SHOW, the Artists Archives and The Gallery at Lakeland will host THE BIG @SS @RT TALK featuring the BIG HEADS of the little arts organization. Presented in an exciting rapid-fire format, each organization will have 20 slides at 20 seconds a piece to tell the audience who they are, what they’re up to, and share their dynamic plans for the future.

Held in Lakeland’s Performing Arts Center, the event will spotlight ten leaders from creative non-profits which serve a diverse array of audiences and geographic locations. Speakers include Pat Carroll Bonander (Willoughby Arts Collaborative), Monica Glasscock (Geauga Arts Council), Rebecca Gruss & Julie Polsinelli (Valley Arts Center), Nancy Heaton (BAYarts), Letitia Lopez (The Julia De Burgos Cultural Arts Center), Robin Robinson (Sankofa Fine Art Plus), Mary K. Thomas (The U & I of Euclid Avenue), Mindy Tousley (Artists Archives of the Western Reserve), Mary Urbas (The Gallery at Lakeland), and Antwoine Washington (Museum of Creative Human Art).

The fun, fast-paced program is the perfect way to learn about new organizations as well as to hear the latest news on their inspiring projects. Each presentation will also include ways to support their current endeavors and the leaders will be available for questions after the event.

THE BIG @SS @RT TALK will take place on Sunday, July 23rd 2:00 – 3:30pm. An Artists Reception for THE BIG @SS @RT SHOW will directly follow the event.
