Fostering Hope and restorartive present artwork by young artists exploring the idea that art is a gift.
Gift is a dynamic presentation of youth artwork that represents the spirit of creativity and creation. With art we can explore, find, express, honor, mark, refine, develop, question, daydream, enjoy, calm, and manifest. Led by instructor Brielle Dove-Smart with assistance from Elaine Hullihen, this collection of work is inspired by the idea that art is a gift to both the maker and the viewer. In Hope in Balance art classes, students are encouraged to create in a way that is meaningful to them. Students were asked to interpret the prompt “art is a gift” in any way they chose.
Fostering Hope partners with numerous residential treatment centers in Northeast Ohio for our Hope in Balance therapeutic yoga and art program. We thank our partners, students, and the residents of Cuyahoga County for their support in creating this show. We are delighted to share it with you.
