Join Sara Hurand, curator, on an in-depth journey of placemaking through art.
Street artists in Israel mark creative expression in public spaces, claiming, shaping, and arguably, boldly beautifying urban spaces. Internal thoughts, feelings, and motives are shared in a dynamic interplay of expression and experience between the public and the artist, influencing the soul of neighborhoods and communal civic identity.
Underneath this public art lies the unique identities of the artists. Sara will introduce you to the street artists both born in Israel and those who have made aliyah from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Union. Together you will go beyond the surface identities of these artists and glimpse works created in the intimacy of their private studios.
