Can you have a pretty garden and eat it too? Yes! Join us in planning and building an edible landscape that is attractive and easy to maintain. Fruit and nut trees, berries, greens, herbs, mushrooms and flowers will be used. Environmental needs such as soil composition, sunlight and plant spacing will be discussed. Each student will learn and participate in landscape design, planting seeds and starting plants.

There will be four class sessions which have both hands-on and classroom learning time. Monday evenings April 24, May 8, May 22 and June 5 starting at 6:00PM at the Coit Road Farmers’ Market. Students who complete the course will take home information and materials to start their own sustainable urban garden.
