The Morgan is holding our 11th Annual Juried Exhibition — “Moments of Transformation”, this year from March 24th-April 28th. The opening reception will be hosted at the Morgan Paper Conservatory on Friday, March 24th from 5-8 pm with refreshments.
The process began with a call for submissions during the Fall of 2022. Any piece that can fall under the exhibition’s theme and consists of 50% paper was eligible as a submission. Out of 240 submissions, our jurors hand-selected 55 artworks, representing 43 artists from 22 states ranging from Texas all the way to Connecticut.
This year’s jurors are Alexandra Coon, the executive director of the Massillon Museum, and J. Leigh Garcia, artist and Assistant Professor and Co-Area Head of Print Media & Photography at Kent State University. The jurors have selected the Best in Show and Runner Up, both receive cash prizes and will be announced during the opening reception. During the opening reception, attendees are encouraged to vote for the Viewer’s Choice award which will be announced at the end of the night and on the Morgan Conservatory’s social media (@morganpaper).
