Barbara Fredrickson, Ph.D. of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will present “The Goods in Everyday Love: Implications for Individuals and Communities.”
Fredrickson is the Kenan Distinguished Professor, Department of Psychology & Neuroscience, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and directs the Social Psychology Doctoral Program and theĀ Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology (PEP) Laboratory.
She is most known for her “Broaden-and-Build Theory” of positive emotions, foundational within affective science and positive psychology for building a blueprint for how pleasant emotional states, as fleeting as they are, contribute to people’s resilience, wellbeing, and health.
