City Ballet of Cleveland-2023 Dress Drive

 City Ballet of Cleveland will hold its first annual dress drive this spring, and we need your help! Do you have suits, tuxes, prom dresses, cocktail dresses, bridesmaid dresses or other formal attire that look amazing in your closet, but you have only worn once or twice? Do some spring cleaning and donate your gently used dresses, formal attire, and accessories to City Ballet of Cleveland’s first annual Dress Drive!

How It Works

City Ballet of Cleveland will collect your gently used dresses from February 27– March 11 at Cleveland City Dance in Shaker Square. Please call 216-295-2222 to schedule a time to drop-off your items. You will receive a donation receipt upon donating the item that you can use for tax purposes. Out of courtesy, we ask that dresses have been laundered and are in good condition. City Ballet of Cleveland will organize the dresses and get them ready for resale.

When Is the Sale

The Dress Drive will run from Monday, April 3 – Friday, May 5. The sale will take place during Cleveland City Dance’s regular business hours; however, patrons are encouraged to call to schedule an appointment to have a more unique shopping experience.

What Is the Goal

Proceeds from the dress sale will benefit City Ballet of Cleveland’s Scholarship Fund. The goal of the scholarship fund is to provide financial tools for aspiring dancers to realize their dreams. The scholarship fund helps company members offset expenses associated with dance training, attire, and shoes. Proceeds will also help to fund future outreach and performance opportunities for the youth in our community.
