The highly trained Actors from the London Stage will perform Romeo and Juliet on February 16th, 17th, and 18th at 7:30 pm in our Kulas Auditorium. This event is sponsored by the Schubert family and is a part of our Hopkins Fellowship.
Actors From The London Stage (consisting of five British Shakespearean artists from such companies as the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, among others) is an educational program developed in 1975 by Homer Swander at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Thetheatre company is now based in London and at the University of Notre Dame. The artists devote a large part of their time to lectures, workshops, seminars, and informal meetings with students. Their stay provides students and faculty with a unique opportunity both to observe extraordinary performances and to discuss literature and the art of theatre in depth with some of the most talented artists from some of the most important theatre companies in the world. To purchase tickets in advance:
-Send cash or a check payable to Dept. of English JCU. Upon receipt, we will promptly mail your tickets to you (please either include your preferred address on a note accompanying your payment or send it to me via email). Please also let us know the performance date you have selected.
OR
-Set up an appointment with me to pick up your tickets from my office.
Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
As a reminder:
-General admission tickets are $10.
-Student tickets are $5.
