Choral Arts will explore the influence of folk poetry and music on the classical tradition. The evening includes poetry of Robert Burns, Alfred Lord Tennyson, medieval monks, and poems from the German tradition set to music by Mack Wilberg, Ron Nelson, Carl Orff, and Johannes Brahms as performed by one choir, two pianos, three percussion, and four hands. The concert will also be a tribute to Director Martin Kessler in celebration of his retirement.
