Join us in-person for Family Open Studio: Celebrating Guam’s Liberation Day on 7/16 with professional artist, Heather Molecke, to explore a culture and make art!
On Saturday, July 16th from 1-3pm Art House teaching artist, Heather Molecke, will be sharing about the US Territory of Guam as part of our Cultural Exploration Series. Participants can make a mixed-media artwork based on Guam’s flag and tropical weather while learning about Guam’s Liberation Day, which is celebrated on July 21st. Get ready to learn and create amazing art with your family!
Family Open Studio is a free, monthly workshop for families. Led by a professional artist, children and adults have the opportunity to express their feelings and ideas as they learn about new materials and artistic processes. Family Open Studio allows families to create in a safe, supportive atmosphere, where they spend quality time together and bond through creativity and art. Past projects have included paper marbling, mask making, paper mâché, and print making. This family-friendly workshop occurs on the third Saturday of every month. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
