A singular intention is behind this exhibit. It is my belief that a strong society starts with a strong beginning. How can I help our community of young people? This show is my answer.

There is alchemy in abstract art. To provoke thoughts about art that is visible yet incomprehensible has magic unto itself. Inspiration for my work is derived from a perceptual landscape. Color, shape and line create depth and movement. Textures and layered surfaces are influenced by extensive study of textiles and patterns.

About Breakthrough Public Schools

Breakthrough Public Schools (BPS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit charter school that was formed in 2010 with the mission to develop a growing network of distinctive school options that prepare Cleveland area students for success in life. Patty Flauto is a contemporary abstract painter in Rocky River, Ohio. Creativity runs through her work and her life with an unending passion for color and design. Ms. Flauto has exhibited nationally. Her work has appeared in The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Butler Institute of American Art, The John J. McDonough Museum and countless galleries.
