The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership invites the community to enjoy a fun-filled day of free fishing with friends and family at University Circle’s historic Rockefeller Park Lagoon.
Join Doan Brook Watershed Partnership and Cleveland Metroparks Youth Outdoors for fun, family-friendly fishing. We are hosting two fishing workshops, even though the pandemic prevents us from bringing back the full-scale event again this year.
We will be giving away free bait and rods to all participants! We’ll cover the basics from tackle and technique to casting, fish ID, and handling. We’ll also show you how to clean and prepare your catch from the stocked catfish and bluegill in beautiful Rockefeller Lagoon.
Registration is required to secure a fishing rod, which is yours to keep. Participants should bring a cooler and ice if they plan to keep their catches. No fishing license is required to fish in the lagoon. Lastly, bring a water bottle to refill at the Cleveland Water coolers. Parking available at the VA parking lot on Magnolia Drive.
Free Admission. Advance registration is required at doanbrookpartnership.org prior to event date. For more info contact Elizabeth at 216-325-7781 or smith@doanbrookpartnership.org
