Climate Action Series: Water We Waiting For? Take Action with Drink Local. Drink Tap.

Presented by Cleveland Museum of Natural History at Mentor Marsh Nature Center

PRESENTER: BEN JUREK, EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER, DRINK LOCAL. DRINK TAP.
Join Drink Local. Drink Tap. and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History as we take action for water. During this program, we will gain expert insights into water issues and explore how we can have a better impact on water at home and in our communities. We will learn about water conservation and protection, and how these topics relate to climate change in our region.

We will then shift to a discussion of how rain barrels work and how they can help us take steps toward reducing our footprint. Registrants will help us decorate four rain barrels on behalf of the Museum, which will later be distributed to local organizations in the Cleveland/Northeast Ohio region. Come sign your name and help us cover our barrels in Dunkleosteus and Happy!

Please note:

Dress appropriately for the weather; this is a rain-or-shine event, and we might get a little messy.
Parking and restrooms are available on site.
Masks are encouraged but not required.

ABOUT THE CLIMATE ACTION SERIES
We are pleased to offer our Museum community a new program aimed at discussing, acting on, and educating people about climate change. From April 2022 through August 2022, the Climate Action Series will take place once a month on Saturday. Highlighting ways in which climate change is affecting the world around us, this program will cover topics such as erosion and water management, creating local resilience for bird species, and reducing carbon emissions. We will focus on sharing actionable steps audiences can take to become better advocates for change.
