WARP TRIO
Warp Trio (NYC) is an internationally touring cross-genre chamber music experience. A mashup of Juilliard trained players and members steeped in rock and jazz styles, the one-of-a-kind trio can be seen performing classical works in prestigious halls on the same tour where they headline a standing room only show at a rock venue. In addition to their electrifying public performances, they have gained a reputation for their innovative educational workshops with students from grade school through university level.
Warp Trio will perform “Grounding // Sparks” by NYC based Composer/Guitarist Brendon Randall-Myers. This recently premiered Chamber Music America commission is a 2 part, 25-minute, endurance based tour-de-force for amplified piano trio and drum set that combines sublime lyricism and beauty with dizzying virtuosity.

ROBIN BLAKE SOUND EXPERIMENT
A wise musician once said to “play the universe”, and Robin Blake Sound Experiment (CLE) will show you what is possible when universes collide. This 9-piece band pieces will explore the intersection between jazz, hip hop, and electronic music while incorporating elements such as field recordings and spontaneous improvisation.
Robin Blake Sound Experiment premiers Robin Blake’s new piece, “Ether.” “Ether” is influenced by jazz, Carnatic music, and Japanese video game soundtracks. Blake wanted to compose something that is familiar to most people, yet somewhat exotic, highlighting the similarities in cultures and synthesizing their elements to create something new. Composed for varied instrumentation; from woodwinds and brass to strings and electronics, including traditional African and Indian percussion. “Ether” contains four movements, “Agni”, “Vaya”, “Jala”, and “Prithvi”, each representing one of the natural elements or “sacred energies” embraced in Vedic traditions.
