Listening Series: Prelude to PianoDays

Listening Series: Prelude to PianoDays

Presented by Piano Cleveland at St. Paul's Episcopal Church

The 2022 Listening Series is designed to take audiences from the couch to the concert hall, diving into how we listen to piano music. The Listening Series: Prelude to PianoDays, will present different elements of the piano and help listeners connect the themes learned in each session directly to the programming of Piano Cleveland’s upcoming summer festival, PianoDays @CLE. Attendees can learn how two pianos work together through piano duos, what it means to immerse yourself into the work of a single composer, and what “improvisation” really means. Tickets are available for this three-part series, presented both virtually and in-person.
April 27, 7:30pm, Piano Duo Do’s and Don’ts, hosted by Byeol Kim & Lovre Marusic (St. Paul’s Episcopal Church)
May 11, 7:30pm, The Mind of Beethoven, hosted by Jonathan Biss (Maltz Performing Arts Cetner)
June 1&2, 7:30pm, Conversations on Improvisation, hosted by Gerald Clayton (The BOP STOP)
