Join 2nd Act for our hybrid May 1st Fundraiser on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 from 2 pm-4 pm at Tinkham Veale University Center, or on zoom. We will be serving floral teas, showcasing all we’ve been working on, and celebrating our finalized merger!
On May 1st, 2022, 2nd Act is hosting a hybrid fundraiser. The event will showcase all of the changes we’ve been making to our programming, internal structures, and overall mission. We will be serving floral teas provided by Saratoga Tea and Honey. Additional refreshments will be available.
Our hybrid fundraiser event will run from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 1st and will be held both virtually and in person. Find the following links for tickets:

2nd Act is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to change the way people and communities respond to the impact of substance use through theatre and drama therapy.
2nd Act, Inc. is a newly merged organization, made up of Creating Outreach About Addiction Support Together (COAAST) and Improbable Players (IP). 2nd Act has combined experience of over 40 years, employment of over 200 actors in recovery, and traveling troupes in New England and Ohio performing authentic stories in schools and community groups.
2nd Act is most known for performances in schools and community groups that feature actors in recovery telling authentic stories about addiction and substance use as an educational intervention. We also offer targeted services to students and prevention specialists in recovery. You may have heard about us before, as we are a newly merged organization, made up of what was formerly known as IP (Improbable Players) and C.O.A.A.S.T. (Creating Outreach About Addiction Support Together).
The fundraiser will be on May 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. We will hear from our executive producer, watch one of our naloxone videos, do an interactive activity and be able to connect with our teaching artists, actors, and drama therapists. We have in-person locations in Boston, Providence, and Cleveland as well as a virtual option.
