Our popular archaeology camp returns for its 8th year! Join Archaeologist Elizabeth Hoag of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Master Teacher Rosemary Nemeth of Gesu School, and SHS Education & Outreach Manager Mike Ekenstedt for Shaker Dig 8, an engaging, hands-on archaeology summer camp taking place July 11-15! Campers will need to wear old clothing and tennis shoes as they explore archaeological methods, techniques, and tools. Campers are also encouraged to use sun block and to bring knee pads and water bottles. This camp is best suited for students in grades 1-5 and is capped at 18 campers.

Current COVID-19 safeguards and precautions will be in effect for all in-person activities including summer camps and programs. All camp staff are fully vaccinated.

Parking is available in the lot behind the museum. Cyclists may park their bikes at racks near the main entrance. Drivers may park facing the garage. A designated handicapped parking space is located near the ADA ramp and entrance. If the lot is full, visitors may park on the north side of South Park Blvd (opposite the museum).
