The Healing Arts provide grieving people with a creative outlet for their grief. Birds have long been associated with life and death. In this workshop we will paint and decorate a bird house in memory of your loved one and that special bird.
This two-part virtual series takes place over two weeks using Microsoft Teams. Once registered, you will receive project supplies in the mail, as well as an e-mailed workshop link that allows you to join at the time of the group.
In the first session, we discuss aspects of grief and healing, and the Art Therapist provides instruction for completing the project on your own. In the second session, participants share their creations, discuss their process, and share stories and memories of their loved ones.
Healing Arts workshops are open to all, and no previous art experience is necessary.
To register, please contact Board Certified Art Therapist Mollie Borgione at 216.486.6544 or mborgione@hospicewr.org no later than two weeks before the first workshop date. Admission is free, but a donation of $5 to Hospice of the Western Reserve is suggested. If you’d like to do so, please visit Hospice of the Western Reserve – Ways to Give (hospicewr.org)
