Performing Arts Series 2021–22 Season

Performing Arts Series 2021–22 Season

Presented by The Cleveland Museum of Art at The Cleveland Museum of Art

This season, we relaunch with a stunning array of artists from around the world and close to home, ranging from traditions far and wide to ideas old and new.

Sheng virtuoso Wu Wei presents an evening of classical music, both east and west. Tabla master Zakir Hussain returns with violinist Kala Ramath and veena player Jayanthi Kumaresh. The great Malian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara makes her Cleveland debut. The museum’s commissioning series continues our partnership with the Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion program, this year presenting a world premiere by Aleksandra Vrebalov. Multiple Grammy-winner the Crossing with organist Scott Dettra present a world premiere by Stacy Garrop. Nicole Keller performs on the McMyler Memorial Organ in Gartner Auditorium. And the spotlight returns to local artists in our monthly series featuring young artists from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the joint program with Case Western Reserve University’s early and baroque music programs.

As we emerge from a year like no other, we celebrate the joy of shared experiences with some of the great performing artists of our time. We look forward to seeing you again.

Tickets go on sale December 1.

Unless noted, performances take place in Gartner Auditorium.
