This program is designed primarily for employees at museums, historic homes, and other cultural heritage organizations, large and small, who are interested in conservation and preservation.
CA’s Executive Director, Object Conservator and Conservation Educator, Julie Reilly will introduce a measured approach to conservation and preservation planning. The plan starts with foundational institutional commitment and support for collections care and conservation and progresses through a series of interrelated steps that position an institution to have a full understanding of its collection’s prognosis and the most effective path to preservation.
Examples will be included from small and large organizations and a variety of collection types.
